The EM2220A is a digital audio repeater for playing back canned messagess, music and sound clips. It has 20 trigger inputs for hooking up push buttons, motion sensors and etc. Each input is associated with a list of up to 10 sound files for sequential playback, making it possible for the unit to play up to 200 different sounds.
Designed with native support for 8-bit uncompressed mono WAV files, the EM2220A is able to produce the best sound quality thanks to the lack of file conversion and/or transcoding. In addition, the unit utilizes upsampling technology to further boost its performance, resulting in a cleaner and more delicate output.
For audio storage the EM2220A accepts standard SD and SDHC memory cards readily available at low costs. By using a large capacity card (up to 32 GB) it is possible to store a few hundred hours of audio on a single card. Sound programming is as easy as copying sound files from the PC to the card via a card reader with no need for any proprietary software and/or hardware.
Intended for heavy duty applications, the EM2220A is housed in a sturdy metal case with integrated mounting flanges. It can be powered with a wide voltage range from 12 to 32 VDC, and its built-in 10W power amp is quite sufficient for many applications. No maintenance is required as the unit has no moving parts to wear and tear.
