EM21B is a low cost audio repeater designed for general purpose applications. It plays MP3 sound files in their native formats, eliminating the need for file conversion which often causes audio distortions. Sound files are stored on an SD or SDHC card of up to 32 GB, making it possible to store hours of CD quality audio on a single card. Mini-SD and Micro-SD cards are also useful if equipped with an adaptor.
One trigger input is provided for use with push button, motion sensor or any other “contact closure” type devices. DC voltage triggering, such as a low voltage logic signal sent from a micro-controller, is also acceptable. The unit features a headphone output and a built-in power amp. The headphone output can also be fed into an external amplifier if the application requires more power than the built-in amplifier can provide.
The unit can be easily configured for many different modes of operation to meet the needs of various applications. For audio programming, sound files can simply be copied onto the flash card via a card reader, requiring no special software.
Housed in a compact metal enclosure, the EM21B is a quality product designed to provide years of reliable service with no maintenance required. Two integrated mounting ears provide an easy way to mount the unit, and wiring is quick and easy thanks to the two-piece screw terminal.
